Agentic CMMS

Microsoft Teams MCP server

Connect Microsoft Teams to Claude, ChatGPT and your other AI agents.

Connect Microsoft Teams to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI agents to sum up channels, post shift handovers and share alerts where your team already talks.

Microsoft Teams is where many maintenance and operations teams actually talk. Each site or department has its own team, with channels for the shift, for reliability, for projects and for urgent problems. Over a 12-hour shift, a busy channel can collect hundreds of messages, photos and quick decisions made in a thread.

The next shift arrives and has to scroll back to understand what happened. Managers miss the one message that mattered. Agentic CMMS connects Teams to Claude, ChatGPT and the other AI agents your team uses. The agent can read channels to answer questions about what was said, and post clear updates back to them, built from your other systems.

What your AI agent can do with Microsoft Teams

  • Write the shift handover. "Post the night shift handover to the Line 1 channel: open breakdowns, jobs finished and anything waiting on parts." The agent builds the message and posts it.
  • Catch up on a channel. "What happened in the Packaging channel since I left yesterday?" The agent reads the messages and sums up the open issues and decisions.
  • Find a decision in a thread. "Did anyone agree to run Boiler 2 on low fire over the weekend?" The agent searches the channel threads and quotes the message.
  • Ask for an approval. "Ask Priya in the Engineering channel to approve the overtime for the gearbox change." The agent posts the request and mentions her.
  • Share an alert with context. "Tell the utilities channel that the chiller supply temperature is high, and include the last hour of readings." The agent posts the alert with the figures attached.
  • Collect follow-ups. "List the actions people promised in the reliability channel this week." The agent reads the week's messages and lists each action with its owner.
  • Send a direct message. "Message Tom that the spare motor for Fan F-4 has arrived in stores." The agent sends the chat message.

Microsoft Teams with your other systems

The conversation is in Teams. The facts behind it are in your other systems. Connect them together:

  • Build the handover from open and closed work orders in Fiix or SAP Plant Maintenance, then post it to the shift channel.
  • Share a trend from AVEVA PI System when a reading crosses its limit, with a short note on what it means.
  • Post a summary of each new high-priority incident in ServiceNow to the right team, with a link back.
  • Link the current procedure from Microsoft SharePoint when someone in a channel asks how to do a job.

Clear messages, clear accountability

Messages from an agent should be as easy to trace as messages from a person. Each post goes out under the access its user approved, owners and admins choose who may post or send direct messages, and every message the agent reads or sends is recorded in the activity log.

How it works

Live in minutes, not months

No integration project. Connect your system once, and everyone on your team brings their own agent.

  1. 1

    Connect your systems

Add your CMMS, ERP, accounting and other systems with their API keys. We check each one against the live system before anything is saved.

  2. 2

    Approve your agent

Each person adds the MCP address to Claude, ChatGPT or another agent and approves it with their own login. Read-only or read and write: their call.

  3. 3

    Ask in plain language

“What’s overdue on Line 3, and what will it cost?” The agent works across your systems for you, and every action is on the record.

FAQ

Microsoft Teams and AI agents: questions, answered

Can Claude write our shift handover in a Teams channel?

Yes. With read and write access, the agent can gather what happened on the shift from your connected systems and post a handover message to the channel you name.

Can an AI agent sum up a busy Teams channel?

Yes. Ask for a summary of a channel or a thread over a time window, and the agent reads the messages and lists the open issues, decisions and names involved.

Will the agent post in Teams without anyone asking?

No. The agent posts only when a person asks it to, using their approved access. Owners and admins can also keep the posting tool for chosen roles only.
