MPulse is a CMMS used by manufacturers, municipal and government departments, fleet operators, schools and facility teams. It covers work orders, work requests, preventive maintenance, equipment, vehicles, buildings and inventory, and many customers have used it for years. Long-standing systems build deep histories. They also build habits, where one person knows which report answers which question, and everyone else waits for them.
Agentic CMMS gives your MPulse system an MCP server. Supervisors, fleet managers and technicians can ask Claude, ChatGPT or another AI agent about work, equipment and parts in plain language, and an approved agent can create and update records. You connect MPulse once on the Connect page; the credentials are checked against your system before they are saved.
What your AI agent can do with MPulse
- Find vehicles due for service. "Which trucks are within 500 miles of their next PM service?" The agent compares odometer readings with each PM schedule.
- Turn a request into a work order. "Convert the request about the broken dock leveller at Door 6 into a work order and assign it to Tom." The agent keeps the original request text on the new work order.
- Report on equipment. "Which equipment in Building C had the most downtime this quarter?" The agent totals downtime from the work order history.
- Record readings. "Log 12,880 miles on Unit 214 and 3,402 hours on Loader L-2."
- Watch inventory. "Which parts are below their reorder point, and which open work orders are waiting for them?" The agent links each low part to the jobs that need it.
- Prepare the weekly meeting. "Summarise last week's work orders: opened, closed, still open and the oldest one." The agent counts each group and names the oldest job.
- Check a building's history. "What work was done on the fire alarm system at the Water Treatment Plant in the past two years?"
MPulse with your other systems
MPulse often works next to an inventory system, telematics and accounting. Connect them and one request can bring the answers together:
- Compare part counts in Fishbowl with MPulse inventory before you issue parts to a large job.
- Read engine fault codes from Motive and open an MPulse work order for each vehicle that reports one.
- Add vendor bills from QuickBooks Online to MPulse labour and parts for the full cost of each vehicle.
- Find the inspection forms and manuals stored in OneDrive and link them to the equipment record.
For mixed fleets and facilities
Many MPulse teams look after vehicles, buildings and production equipment at the same time, with different schedules for each. An agent helps when it can answer across all three without a separate report for each. Each person approves their own agent, owners and admins choose which roles may use each MPulse tool, and every call is written to the activity log.
