> Connect Personio to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI agents to check absences, attendance, employee documents and onboarding for your maintenance teams.

Personio is the HR system of many small and mid-sized European companies, from German machine builders to Spanish facility service firms. It keeps employee profiles, absences, attendance, documents and onboarding steps in one place. Office staff know it well. Shift supervisors and maintenance planners, who need to know who is available tomorrow, usually do not.

Agentic CMMS turns Personio into an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI agents. A planner asks in plain language, in English or German, and the agent answers from the live Personio data. Every person approves their own agent with their own login.

## What your AI agent can do with Personio

- **Plan around absences.** "Who in the Werk 2 maintenance team is absent next week, and is it holiday or sick leave?" The agent reads absence periods and types.
- **Check attendance.** "Show the attendance hours for the night shift electricians in October, and who worked more than their contract."
- **Find certificate scans.** "Is there a current welding certificate in Lukas's employee documents?" The agent searches the document categories you allow.
- **Follow onboarding steps.** "Which onboarding steps are still open for the mechatronics trainee who starts in September?"
- **Look up profiles.** "Who leads the facilities team in the Vienna office, and what is their phone number?"
- **Request leave.** "Book a day of holiday for me on the 23rd." With write access, the agent files the absence request for approval.
- **Count heads.** "How many people work in technical departments at each site, and how many are on fixed-term contracts?" Handy before budget talks.
- **Prepare a return to work.** "Which technicians come back from long-term absence this month, and who are their team leads?" Supervisors can plan a proper handover and a refresher on site rules.

## Personio with your other systems

Personio tells you who is available. Your maintenance and business systems tell you what needs doing. Join them and plan with one question:

- Before releasing next week's work orders in [IFS Ultimo](/integrations/ifs-ultimo), check which assigned technicians are absent in Personio.
- Match facility service tasks in [Planon](/integrations/planon) with the attendance of your in-house team, to see where contractors filled gaps.
- Compare the labour planned on manufacturing orders in [Odoo](/integrations/odoo) with the real absence rate per team.
- Send each supervisor a short list in [Microsoft Teams](/integrations/microsoft-teams) of who is away tomorrow and which jobs need cover.

## Made for European organisations

Personio customers care about data protection, and so do we. Each organisation has its own isolated database, Personio credentials are encrypted and never shown to agents, and owners and admins choose which roles may use each Personio tool. Every call is written to the hash-chained activity log, which your works council or data protection officer can export and review. Nobody has to trust a promise; they can read the record.

## Questions and answers

### Can Claude check absences in Personio before I plan a maintenance week?

Yes. Claude reads approved and pending absences in Personio and shows who is away on each day, by team, office or cost centre.

### Can an agent read employee documents stored in Personio?

Owners and admins decide this. They choose which roles may use each Personio tool, so certificate scans can be open to supervisors while contracts stay with HR.

### Is Personio data processed in line with European privacy rules?

Your Personio credentials are encrypted, each organisation has its own isolated database, and every call is recorded in an exportable activity log for your data protection team.
